When Parloa was founded in 2018 — the year OpenAI unveiled its beta GPT-1 – it was anyone’s guess what effect natural language processing (NLP) or the application of generative AI and Large Language Models (LMM) would have on business.
We had an idea. We saw ways that this emerging technology could be invaluable in real-world customer service applications. Conversational AI, we realized, had the potential to reduce endless wait times, automate busywork for agents, and solve the frustrations of customers dealing with subpar phone or chatbots.
That idea became Parloa.
Fast forward to today, and the world is abuzz with the potential of AI, NLP, LMMs, and all they can do. As a society, we now understand much more about how profoundly this technology can change the world.
At Parloa, five years on, we’ve already been delivering on that promise. We were one of the first companies to use AI to automate our customers’ most important service channels. We’ve integrated AI and LMMs into our platform and we’ve already seen what they can do for our customers in real-time — at companies like SwissLife, Decathlon, HSE, Teamviewer, ERGO, and more.
Being part of the vanguard of AI has been absolutely incredible. We are so energized to move this technology forward and use it to build a new future for customer communication! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for AI, and for Parloa.
And apparently, we aren’t alone in that vision.
’m so excited to announce that we have closed a €20 million round of Series A funding. EQT Ventures, the prestigious Swedish venture capital firm, led the capital raise, with existing Parloa investors Newion and Senovo also participating in the funding.
This investment will help us expand our platform to contact centers around the globe — building on our growth and setting the stage for us to deliver on our product roadmap, and to help companies around the world create smooth customer experiences – from phone to chat, voice assistants, and beyond.
This is just the beginning for Parloa, as we continue to scale and grow and bring the leading edge of AI technology to business on behalf of our customers — and raise the bar on CX for their customers.
